Komen Pre-Event Fundraiser, June 10
Hush Lounge, Raleigh

Thank you to the TAA members and guests that joined the Public Relations and Community Outreach Committee and Team TAA at our 4th Annual Komen Fundraiser, held at the Hush Lounge in downtown Raleigh on June 10, 2010. Over 70 members and guests enjoyed a night of networking, food and entertainment. Highlights included the annual Reflection Slideshow featuring loved ones touched by breast cancer, a check presentation to Pam Blondin, Executive Director of the Komen NC Triangle Affiliate in the amount of $7000; a special presentation to Team TAA chair Courtney Duffy; and the soulful sounds of Ms Syndy and the G Band. 

Special thanks to our Team TAA T-shirt sponsors (listed right), including Brandon Klintworth with Environmental Property Services (EPS) for donating the use of his lounge for the event. 

 

Komen Race for the Cure, June 12
Meredith College, Raleigh

On June 12, 2010, the 100 team members from Team TAA joined with over 25,000 others to participate in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure at Meredith College in Raleigh. Now in its 13th year, this event has raised more than $10 million to support breast cancer research, education, screening and treatment program. The Komen NC Triangle Race for the Cure® is the largest foot-race in North Carolina, and in 2009, attracted more than 23,000 walkers, runners and spectators, raising $1.75 million. .

The Public Relations and Community Outreach Committee would like to thank each and everyone of you that came out to the Race for The Cure this year and we hope to have you return in 2011 to continue the fight against cancer on Team TAA!
