The Annual TAA Triumph Awards was an explosion of excitement for all in attendance at North Ridge Country Club. The evening was set to a mardi gras theme with purple, black, gold and green feathers, beads and masks; along with fare with a New Orleans flare. Attendees enjoyed extended networking before the presentation. After the pledge of allegiance, committee remarks, and a moment of silence for Haiti the first award was given out. 2009 TAA President Lori Sharp presented the President's Award to Tamara Hayes, then proceeded to install Fred Dean as the 2010 TAA President. After the installation of the entire 2010 Board of Directors, the evening's emcee, Toni Blake was introduced.
Toni, a national speaker and comedian with many years of apartment industry experience slayed the audience with her humor about some of the everyday occurrences at a property or as part of the property/vendor relationship. There were laughs, cheers, claps and some tears by the time Toni settled in to announce the evening’s award recipients. Recognizing each category and explaining the importance of each to the crowd Toni's excitement to find out each winner was oozing off the staff as she would rip each envelope open to make their grand announcement.
