


TAA Meet the Candidates Reception- September 23
Come and meet candidates running for election this fall by attending TAA’s annual “Meet the Candidates” Reception. Hosting this event on TAA’s behalf is Asbury Village, managed by Fairfield Properties L.P. Light hors d’oeuvres and beverages will be served.
TAA-PAC members will be present to educate members on the importance of contributing to the PAC. TAA-PAC members will be handing out PAC materials as well as accepting contributions and pledges.
There is no cost to attend, however reservations are required. Don’t delay- the deadline to sign up is Friday, September 17! Register online by clicking the September 23 date.
Again this year, candidates will be given a brief opportunity to provide a two minute “stump” speech! So, don’t miss this chance to see and hear first-hand where candidates stand! CLICK to register.

Get the Facts on the Use of Pine Straw in the City of Raleigh
TAA will host an educational seminar on the newly passed ban on combustible landscaping materials in the City of Raleigh. The ban will go into effect on December 1, 2010. We want to make sure TAA members are well informed on the facts of the ordinance and how it will apply to them.
The Seminar will be held in the TAA Education Center on Thursday September 16, 2010 8:30AM- registration, a light breakfast will be provided. The cost to attend; TAA Members: $15.00 Non-Members/Guests: $30.00. Event speaker is Mr. Ronald Campbell, Fire Inspector & Educator of the City of Raleigh Fire Department.
