Summer Book Drive

TAA News & Updates,

TAA's PR & Community Outreach Committee is hosting a Summer Book Drive, and we would love for you to join us in giving back to our community! All collected books will be donated to the Book Harvest in Durham, who have provided more than 1.3 million books (and counting) to children in NC.

How Can I Partcipate?

Join in our Summer Book Drive by collecting new and gently used books for ages 0-18. Want to make an even bigger impact? Start collecting within your own community or office to get more people involved!

You can also participate by bringing 1 new or gently used children's book with you to the August 10 After Work Networking event if you are planning to attend!

What Kind of Books Can I Donate?

Book Harvest Accepts:

New and gently used children's books for young readers ages 0-18, but especially love donations of board books, picture books, Spanish and bilingual books, and books that portray ALL children, honoring diverse backgrounds, languages, abilities, and perspectives, and including stories by and about people of color.

Book Harvest is Unable to Accept:

Adult books, religious books, textbooks, encyclopedias, magazines, activity/coloring books, or books with significant damage.

How Can I Hold My Own Collection?

Set up a box within your own community or office, and print out this "Donate Books Here" sign with all the information! And, you can even promote where you are collecting on social media to get even more participation!
