Event Details

We have two volunteer opportunities available at the 2024 Special Olympics North Carolina Summer Games. With nearly 1,500 athletes and Unified partners competing in the SONC Summer Games, TAA volunteers are needed!

TAA Members can sign-up guests to join this Day of Service! *All volunteers must be over the age of 14 years old to participate


Note for sign-up: Each volunteer opportunity is for the full time period (No half days/split shifts).

Volunteer with Athletics 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Athletics - Athlete Escort
An Athlete Escort takes an athlete through the various stages of competition (staging, their race and/or competition, the awards area). You will have a lot of one-on-one time with athletes and make sure they make it to their events on time!

Victory Dance – Venue Assistants
Venue Assistants help with odds and ends/logistics at venues. They will be helping support the event with filling up water coolers, managing lines, manning the volunteer check-in area, and other tasks as necessary!
