TAA News & Updates,

CPO FAQs

Does TAA offer an online CPO certification?

No, we do not. We offer the two-day in-person national CPO course.

I passed my CPO exam but haven’t received my CPO certification yet…

The Pool and Hot Tub Alliance are responsible for verifying exam scores and emailing out certificates. If you have not received it via email, please reach out to the Pool and Hot Tub Alliance here.

I can’t find my CPO certification. How can I get another copy?

Please reach out to the Pool and Hot Tub Alliance here.

When is the next CPO course?

Our upcoming CPO courses can be found here. If the course is marked as sold out, it has reached capacity. Please email  taa@triangleaptassn.org to be added to a waitlist.

What is TAA doing to protect students taking their courses during COVID-19?

TAA is following CDC guidelines and limiting our class attendance to a max of 20. We will be spacing students 6ft apart. We are requiring masks (we will have masks to provide) and temperature checks before entering the building for any course. We will be keeping up with whatever changes to CDC guidelines there may be.

I operate a pool in Wake County, do I need to do anything else?

For those operating a pool in Wake County, you are required to pass the Wake County Exam after receiving your CPO certification. The Wake County Exam comes at no cost to you. Contact Wake County at 919-856-7400 to schedule your exam. For more information click here.

I need to recertify, what do I do?

All those seeking CPO re-certifications must attend the full two-day course again.

I did not pass my CPO exam. Can I re-test?

Yes, you can. You would register for one of our upcoming CPO courses that can be found here and make sure to purchase the re-test ticket.
