TAA Political Action Committee
There’s never been more at stake for the multifamily housing industry and the Triangle Apartment Association is leading the fight to defend the industry. One of the most important tools we have at our disposal to win this fight is the TAA-PAC, which gives association members the ability to directly support pro-business and pro-growth leaders who understand and care about our issues.
The TAA-PAC endorses candidates and elected officials with proven records of standing up for our industry. The TAA-PAC endorses candidates based on a number of factors including electability, positions on key issues, and a demonstrated willingness to engage with the association and our members about housing and development issues.

What is TAA-PAC?
The Triangle Apartment Association Political Action Committee is a state-registered Political Action Committee. TAA-PAC, though affiliated with the Triangle Apartment Association, operates independently and has its own Board of Trustees composed of TAA members who make a qualifying investment.
Why does TAA have an affiliated PAC?
The pandemic has shown more than ever the impact that politicians can have on our businesses and it's critical that our industry be in a position to fight bad public policy. One of the best ways to do this is to pool the resources of our many members in order to provide direct support to candidates who understand our industry and care about our businesses.
How can I get involved in PAC?
Make an individual contribution today to join one of our Club Levels! In addition to the member benefits outlined below, if you join at the Vice President or President's Club Level you will be eligible to serve on the PAC Board of Trustees. Board Members have the opportunity to interview and interact with candidates directly as they make endorsement decisions for PAC.
TAA-PAC Membership Levels and Benefits
Individuals interested in joining TAA-PAC are encouraged to make their annual contribution or pledge in January of each year. While contributions will be accepted all year, TAA-PAC membership is granted only for the calendar year, regardless of when the contribution is made, and individuals are encouraged to contribute early so that they can enjoy full-year access to the events and benefits outlined below. Contributions are accumulated throughout the calendar year and your Membership Level changes accordingly.
Representative’s Club: $50 ($4.20 per month*)
- Invitation to participate in quarterly conference calls.
- Member pricing for quarterly breakfast and other PAC events.
Senator’s Club: $150 ($12.50 per month*)
- Invitation to participate in quarterly conference calls.
- Member pricing for quarterly breakfasts and other PAC events.
- Complimentary admission to one quarterly breakfast event.
- Recognition on materials at any TAA-PAC-related functions.
Vice President’s Club: $500 ($41.67 per month*)
- Invitation to participate in quarterly conference calls.
- Member pricing for quarterly breakfasts and other PAC events.
- Complimentary admission to two quarterly breakfast events.
- Recognition on materials at any TAA-PAC-related functions and special verbal recognition at all TAA-PAC functions.
- Membership on the Board of Trustees and one vote.
President’s Club: $1000 ($83.34 per month*)
- Invitation to participate in quarterly conference calls.
- Member pricing for quarterly breakfasts and other PAC events.
- Complimentary admission to all quarterly breakfast events.
- Recognition on materials at any TAA-PAC-related functions and special verbal recognition at all TAA-PAC functions.
- Membership on the Board of Trustees and three votes.
- Eligibility to serve as TAA-PAC Chairperson.
TAA-PAC Events Schedule and Access
- Quarterly Conference Calls: These calls will allow TAA-PAC leadership to provide updates on fundraising targets and accomplishments, as well as to discuss strategy and upcoming events. The conference calls are open to all membership levels.
- Quarterly Breakfast Events: The TAA-PAC will hold quarterly breakfast events featuring an elected official, speaker, or panel from all levels of government including federal, state, and local officials. Tickets will be sold for the event, but attendance will be limited to PAC Members.
*Monthly rate listed reflects a 12-month recurring donation starting in January.
