Grads of Life & TAA Maintenance Tech Training Program

TAA News & Updates,

Grads of Life and the Triangle Apartment Association are partnering to bring a new wave of Maintenance Technicians to the Triangle Area. Maintenance Technicians are arguably the most frequently needed individuals in the residential property management industry. Unemployment is low nationwide, but new talent entering our industry still isn’t keeping up with demand.

Grads of Life is working with apartment associations nationwide to build programs in local communities tailored to that area’s needs. Overall, the program is simple. Find job seekers to enter the training program, train them, then they’ll work onsite with a potential employer in a 10-week full-time internship. At the end of that 10 weeks, the goal is for the employer to hire their intern as a full-time employee.

During the training portion, students will earn their CAMT credential and become CPO and CFC certified.

We are proud to announce that we are the third city in the nation working to build this program with Grads of Life. After the Pilot Program is completed, the goal is to make any necessary adjustments to the program and open it up to any TAA member management companies interested in participating.
