Alert: Fraudulent Emails Regarding Trade Show Attendee Directory
Dear TAA Members,
We have been notified of fraudulent emails circulating that claim to offer access to the attendee directory for our upcoming TAA Trade Show.
Please be aware that these emails are not legitimate and are not affiliated with the Triangle Apartment Association.
TAA does not sell or distribute attendee lists through third-party vendors. If you receive an email offering to sell or provide access to our trade show attendee directory, do not respond, click any links, or provide payment or personal information.
To protect your organization:
- Carefully review the sender’s email address.
- Do not click on suspicious links or attachments.
- Report the email as spam and delete it.
- Forward any suspicious messages to our office so we can monitor the activity.
- Follow your company’s policies and procedures for handling suspected scam or phishing emails.

Important note: Registered TAA Trade Show Attendees and Exhibitors will be receiving information regarding the TAA Trade Show Mobile App in the next few weeks. The mobile app is a third-party vendor. However, communications will be sent directly from the trade show or TAA email addresses noted above.
