Funding Available for Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure

The North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) has funding available to support the installation of Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure through it's Phase 2 Level 2 Public Access Program. The funding will support installation specifically in apartment communities across the state.

Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until all funds are exhausted. Awards are being made as qualifying applications are received. See the full list of Level 2 Public Access awards (updated 9-21-22) for more information.

  • Applications for the Level 2 Multi-Unit Dwelling Program are still being accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until funds are exhausted.
    • 24 awarded projects (82 ports) have been announced with requesting project funding totaling $273,000.
    • DAQ Grants Management System Program ID: NCDEQDAQ0012.
    • $222,544 is still available for funding.
