2021 Municipal Election Results

Government Affairs, TAA News & Updates,

Last Tuesday brought an unusual election cycle to a close with a number of local communities holding elections for Town Council. Due to census-related issues, Raleigh and Cary postponed their elections to 2022, which left only Durham and a number of smaller municipalities moving forward with elections.

TAA again played an active role in the campaign season supporting more than a dozen candidates in races in Apex, Durham, Fuquay-Varina, Holly Springs, Knightdale, Morrisville, and Wake Forest. In the end, nine endorsed candidates won their elections, and four lost, though two of those will retain their seats on Council for two more years.

Here’s the complete list of results:

It’s worth noting that over the last four election cycles TAA-endorsed candidates are 42-9. This is an incredible record of success and wouldn’t be possible without the strong support of TAA-PAC by our membership.
