Hear from 2020 TAA President Kelli Lea about this new partnership...

Want to read instead of watch? Here's what Kelli has to say:

Hey everybody! It's Kelli Lea, your 2020 Triangle Apartment Association President and this is another episode of Kelly's Korner. Of course, we use these short videos to talk about any important initiatives we've got going on or important messages to get across and today is no different.

As you know, a very important thing the apartment association has been working on is finding relief for our renters that are going through financial trouble that they've never experienced before. Today I'd like to talk about our partnership with the Resident Relief Foundation. Some of you may have seen this come across your inboxes, but I want to share a little more and just how excited we are to be a partner with this foundation.

What this means is that our industry, and really outside of our industry, can come together and have donations go to the foundation. It's a nonprofit, so tax-deductible, these can be corporate donations as well as individual donations and these funds are going to go directly to renters within our own state. You know, really guys, when people can stay in their homes, everybody wins. We're so confident in the abilities of our membership, and really how much we want to help those in need, that the TAA and our Board of Directors has approved us matching your donations up to $15,000. You guys I'm so proud to be a part of this movement and these collections, and this is our way to help.

Our philanthropy as an association is really helping those in need and we are helping each other by doing this. So again, everybody wins when renters can stay in their homes. We are beyond thrilled about this partnership with the foundation. I know you guys are going to have a ton of questions, so feel free to reach out to me directly. There's also an entire page with links and details on our website. So I'm really excited to see what you guys and we can do as a membership, as a whole, to bring relief to our renters in this area. Thanks so much and I'll talk to you soon!
