What did winning a TOPS Award mean to you personally?
Winning a TOPS Award meant so much to me because of my manager. She's believed in me from the very beginning, encouraged me to step outside my comfort zone, and has always pushed me to be the best version of myself. Receiving this award felt like a reflection of not only the hard work I've put in, but also the time, trust, and mentorship she invested in me. It made me feel incredibly proud, and I was just as excited to share that moment with her because I know she played a huge part in helping me get there.
How has receiving a TOPS Award impacted your career or professional growth?
Receiving this award motivated me to continue growing, take on new challenges, and find even more ways to create memorable experiences for residents and prospects. It reminded me that success isn't just measured by numbers, but also by the relationships you build and the community you help create.
What would you say to someone who is considering nominating a coworker or submitting a nomination for their team/community?
Do it! Taking a few minutes to recognize someone's hard work can mean more than you know. Everyone deserves to feel appreciated, and celebrating each other's successes helps build a stronger team.
What makes the multifamily industry special to you?
The multifamily industry is special to me because of all the different individuals I get to connect with. Every day is different because every resident/prospect has a unique story. I love helping someone find a place they're excited to call home and then continuing to build those relationships long after they've moved in.
Tell us about the moment your name was announced. What was going through your mind?
The second I heard my name, my brain basically stopped working. I was so surprised that all I could think was, "Don't trip... just don't trip." It was one of those moments that didn't feel real until later.
Who helped you get to where you are today?
Without a doubt, my property manager, Regina Mason. She's had a huge impact on my career and has believed in me from day one. Having someone who sees your potential before you fully see it yourself makes a big difference, and I wouldn't be where I am today without her guidance and encouragement.
